Galileo is launching a crowdfunded campaign in 2015

Founded by four alumni of Andrews University, Galileo’s mission is to create UAV systems that enhance human life and help solve critical health, logistics, security, and entertainment challenges.

The team realized that both professionals and consumers desire to interact with drones but are commonly faced with complexities that limit their use of the technology. Galileo is pushing to change this reality with their motto: “Personality to make it yours. Apps to make it powerful. Hardware to make it happen.”

“We want to take the drone industry in an entirely new direction by creating a UAV that could save lives during an avalanche, protect your business, or even root for your favorite team; not just carry a GoPro.”  Joshua Sanabria, CEO

Galileo will launch the first of its two models, the Alpha, through crowdfunding in 2015. The Alpha will be designed for personal use with a simplicity tailored for the mass market. Through an expanding supply of software apps and swappable hardware peripherals, Galileo’s future customers will be able to upgrade their drone’s capabilities and accomplish virtually any task.

“Once you own an Alpha, the possibilities will be limitless.” Rodney Allen, COO

Galileo is already seeing a lot of demand from businesses and consumers through a growing list of pending pre-orders for the Alpha, which is almost ready for demonstrations.

“I look forward to providing the industry with a drone that respects design and has an unmatched level of versatility.”Christopher Bannister, CMO
