The Best Drone at CES 2015: AirDog

The International Consumer Electronics Show (International CES) showcases more than 3,600 exhibitors, including manufacturers, developers and suppliers of consumer technology hardware, content, technology delivery systems and more; a conference program with 250 sessions; and 150,000 to 160,000 attendees from more than 140 countries.

What separated AirDog from the many (many) other drones at CES this year was its clear focus. Its sole purpose is to be your dedicated aerial cameraman. It supports Sony and GoPro cameras, follows you wherever you go, folds down to a backpack-friendly size and comes with custom “modes” for different sports. It may be designed to follow, but when it comes to action sports video, it leads. — James Trew, Deputy Managing Editor

Zano Zano is a tiny drone that can launch from your wrist. Kickstarter made the prototype happen, and now it’s a very real proposition.

AirDog We’ve seen plenty of camera-friendly drones at CES this year, but AirDog’s is unique. Like others, it’s designed to follow you, but with a waterproof, wrist-worn controller, and sonar to prevent ground collisions, this one’s a true action-sport hero.
