Potensic drones are becoming more popular due to their incredible range of products. However, information about those products isn’t as easy to find as big brands like DJI or Autel.
One common question is how to charge these drones.
Each Potensic product has its own charging process. For example, to charge the Atom SE, connect the battery to a smartphone power adapter, then to a power outlet. To charge the Dreamer Pro and 4K drones, connect the battery to the charger with the drone and then to a power outlet.

How to charge a Potensic drone
Charging your Potensic drone is straightforward.
- Always use the original charger, power adapter, and cables from Potensic if available. This guarantees your drone’s charge at the designated voltage. If you lost them, please ensure the replacement cable, charger, or power adapter fulfills the current and voltage specs.
- Always remove the battery from the drone before charging it. This way, you can avoid battery overheating and a possible fire.
- Also, never charge the battery with the sun directly on it. It can overheat the battery, causing a fire. Always charge the battery in a cool place.
- Charge your battery on a heat-resistant surface like wood or ceramic. Never charge it on a piece of fabric, as you can cause a fire if the battery overheats.
- Never leave the battery unattended, as it can overheat to the point that it initiates a fire.

Charging a new Potensic drone battery
Now you know how to charge each current Potensic drone and its controller when required.
However, most of us are in a rush to fly them. So our drone gets home, and we try to power it on after unboxing it.
This power-on procedure will fail as the battery cannot generate power.
First, you must wake the battery, or the drone won’t start.
To wake it up, you must charge it before using the drone. The charging time depends on the drone and its battery, as we have explained to you for each model.
Please take precautions when using power adapters, as they must meet the voltage and current requirements.
Each drone battery supports a specific amount of power. When you supply more than needed, the battery can get damaged.
