Alaska institutes drone laws on a federal, state, and local level. Alaska-specific laws dictate that you cannot use a drone to find salmon when commercial fishing in Alaska, nor can you land your drone at Chugach State Park for a practice run.
Alabama permits drones and doesn’t have any specific drone laws on a state level. That said, on a local level, the cities of Oxford, Orange Beach, and Gulf Shores do have restrictions about where you can launch, operate, and land a drone.
You may use DJI Fly to update the firmware on your drone, access the FlySafe database, calibrate the compass and IMU, and, of course, fly your drone. It also comes with a large number of intelligent flight options to round out an excellent package.
To connect the Air 2S to the remote control for flight, you will need to have the DJI Fly app downloaded and installed. Then you will need to pair the Air 2S to the Remote Controller, and have the latest Firmware for the Air 2S installed.
To adjust the height limit on a DJI drone, go to the Main Controller Settings, and there you will see Max altitude. Here you can select a height limit ranging from 20 meters up to 500 meters, or 1640 feet. The default setting is 120 meters.

Unlocking certain geofenced areas is simple thanks to the convenient online request procedure. Depending on the type of zone that you are trying to unlock, this can be done from the DJI Fly/DJI Go apps, or on DJI’s FlySafe webpage…
DroneSimPro is an easy-to-use drone simulator designed to emulate a real drone’s flight and the physics behind it. It was released in 2016, and has barely been updated since, and offers limited flight scenarios and drone models. However, it is still a good way to practice flying a drone.
